On behalf of the Parish Council of Blindcrake, Welcome! Our Parish, which lies at the Northwestern limit of the Lake District National Park in Cumbria, comprises the village of Blindcrake, the hamlets of Redmain and Sunderland, and Isel. This website provides details of the activities of the Parish Council, local events and general information.

Events

All events are held in Blindcrake Village Hall unless otherwise stated. The cost of hiring the village hall is £7 per hour for the small meeting room and £8 per hour for the main hall or for both rooms. For bookings, contact Rachel on 07503 763590 or by email at villagehall@blindcrake.org.uk. If any organisation would like future local events included in the listings, please contact the Parish Clerk.

20.00-23.00 The Evening Inn  Evening Inn Village Pub. The Evening Inn sessions will resume in the Autumn - watch this space!
As of Sunday 1st May, St Michael's Church in Isel will resume holding church services there. 
3rd May 2016 19.30 Blindcrake Village Hall AGM. Immediately before the AGM there will be a meeting, for anyone to attend, to discuss the change in charitable status (comments/questions welcomed). Also proposed building plans will be on display; copies of the latest draft available from Ros. All are welcome.
5th May 2016 07.00-22.00 County Police Commissioner voting day.
16th May 2016 19.30 Parish Council Meeting. All parishioners are welcome to attend; appropriate matters may be raised at the beginning of the meeting.
17th May 2016 18.15 - 19.30 zumba  Zumba Fitness Class Evening. The weekly classes will resume, starting this week (first class is half price). For further details contact Jo on 07986 427671 or jomorgan@zumba.com.
23rd Jun 2016 07.00-22.00 EU Referendum Voting day.
26th Jun 2016 10.30-16.30 Garden Safari, Arts Trail and Classic Cars Display. Teas and refreshments in village Hall - all proceeds towards the village Hall Development Fund. There will be more than a dozen gardens open and the arts trail offers a preview of the forthcoming Art@Blindcrake event in August. New for this year: Classic Cars 'Tour de Isel' includes an exciting new venue.
6th Jul 2016 19.00 Keswick Theatre Club presents 3 short plays: Double Double by James Saunders; Heart to Heart by Michael Frayn; Albert by Richard Harris. Tcikets £7 (£4 under-18s) inc. interval refreshments. Licensed bar. Tickets from ros.berry@btinternet.com (01900 828384).
20th Aug 2016 13.00-18.00 Art @ Blindcrake arts trail. Seven local artists will have open studios to exhibit their work every afternoon from 20th to 28th August. The poster is on the Gallery webpage.Art at Blindcrake
